movin’ on up …

you know you’ve been to minnesota when 30 degrees feels warm.

my trip up north was a whirlwind and now that i’m back it feels like i’ve never left. however, i did go and i am excited about going back in the summer … because let’s face it, 75 degrees feels warm everywhere, including the twin cities.

i did learn a few things about the city (uptown is actually SOUTH of downtown), 99 percent of parking garages appear to be heated, skyways are good for people watching and escaping the elements, and that when it’s negative eight degrees it’s impossible to scrap the frost off your car without gloves, your boogers freezing and getting a bloody nose.

i’m still working on some of the logistics, the planning part that i love so much. when to move, where to move, how to move my legions ‘o stuff etc … but the crux of it is i am moving — and things will fall into place. until then (may/june), i’m going to do my damndest to enjoy the (mild) virginia winter and spring … and all of my fellow virginia friends and family.
